You hear a slight buzzing and suddenly see multiple people standing in the corridor. They are semi-transparent and appear in different shades of blue instead of actual coloration. Some of them are working on machines or terminals, others seem to be looking at screens hanging on the wall.
A human perks up and you hear a recorded voice: "Dr. Marlow, I have adjusted the containment field according to your specifications. Are we ready to proceed?" A small, amphibious looking creature steps up to the center of the room: "Well Julius, let's run a simulation first with the new configuration. We don't want to blow up the whole solar system over an incorrectly set decimal point, won't we? hihihi" She is wearing a white laboratory coat and big, round glasses over her black eyes. People rush to their stations. "Starting Simulation", a woman says. Dr. Marlow remains in the center of a room and a small pedestal lifts her up. The woman from before continues. "Heating up Higgs-Spules. Enabling containment field. Starting extraction sequence." You see a slight flicker going through the hologram. "Fluctuations in the containment field.", one of the researcher reports. "Try to compensate manually, my dear", replies Dr. Marlow. Again the hologram flickers. "I can't." Another perks up: "The fluctuations are interfering with the Higgs-Spules. We lose control." "Enhance the containment fields modulation frequency", Dr. Marlow instructs. "It's spiking of the charts. I cannot.." A horn sounds and the light in the hologram flashes. A Computer Voice says: "Higgs Filed unsterilized. Simulation failed." Dr. Marlow looks around the room. "See Julius, that is why we run simulations. hihihi"
With that the recording ends and the hologram vanishes.

The hologram flickers to life, revealing the lab in a state of disarray. Papers are strewn about, and the air is thick with tension.
A young researcher, her brow furrowed in concentration, recapitulate: "The zero-point energy extraction is proving more volatile than we anticipated. Our attempts to calibrate the Higgs Spools have met with... limited success." Dr. Marlow, looking weary but determined, interjects: "We've been at this for hours. The energy signatures are unlike anything we've seen. It's as if the fabric of spacetime itself is resisting our efforts." A new voice, calm and measured, cuts through the chaos: "Perhaps we're approaching this from the wrong angle. What if we adjust the quantum harmonizers to resonate with the fluctuations, instead of against them?" The team pauses, considering the proposal. Dr. Marlow nods slowly: "It's unorthodox, but it just might work. Prepare the harmonizers. We'll need to be precise; the margin for error is... infinitesimal." You see the Lab buzzing to live again with renewed energy.
The Log ends.

The lab is a hive of activity, the air charged with anticipation. Dr. Marlow oversees the final preparations, her voice clear and authoritative: "Commencing test sequence. Dr. Singh, confirm status of the quantum harmonizers." Dr. Singh's voice is steady, albeit with an undercurrent of tension: "Harmonizers are calibrated and ready. Initiating modulation sequence now." The hum of machinery grows louder, and the team watches with bated breath as energy readings begin to climb. A technician calls out: "Containment field is stable. Energy levels are within expected parameters." "Let's continue then", Dr. Marlow says. Suddenly, a sharp spike on the monitors. An Engineer perks up: "Wait, we have an anomaly. The containment field is fluctuating!" Dr. Marlow's commands cut through the commotion: "Dr. Singh, adjust the resonance frequency. Quickly!" Dr. Singh, his expression one of focused determination, interjects: "Dr. Marlow, we're experiencing an Issue with the instruments. They're not responding." "I'll handle it manually. Keep the test running." Without waiting for a response, Dr. Singh rushes out of the lab and into the hallway leading to the extraction chamber. The team exchanges worried glances but continues their work. Through the lab's intercom, Dr. Singh's voice is heard: "I'm at the quantum harmonizers. Adjusting the modulation now." A sudden spike in energy readings causes a collective gasp in the lab. Dr. Marlow shouts: "Singh, get out of there! It's not safe!" A surge of light from the hallway, a sound like the universe itself tearing, and then silence. The team rushes to the door, only to find the hallway empty, the air tinged with ozone. Dr. Marlow's voice trembles: "We've lost Dr. Singh to a containment field breach. His bravery won't be forgotten. We must reassess... this can't happen again."

The hologram shimmers into view, showing Dr. Marlow standing before the station leader, Commander Rigel. The weight of recent events is palpable in the air.
"Commander, I understand the gravity of our situation," Dr. Marlow begins, her voice steady despite the tension. "The loss of Dr. Singh was a tragedy, one that we all feel deeply. But we must not let fear dictate our path forward." Commander Rigel looks unconvinced, his arms crossed as he responds: "Dr. Marlow, the risks have become too great. Your project has already claimed one life. I cannot justify further tests." Dr. Marlow steps closer, her resolve unwavering: "With all due respect, sir, shutting down this project would be a mistake. The energy potential we're on the cusp of harnessing is monumental. It could render modern fusion generators obsolete, making them look like mere AAA batteries in comparison." She gestures to the data on the screen, where simulations of energy output dwarf current standards: "We're talking about a quantum leap in power generation. Yes, there are dangers, but the benefits for humanity are immeasurable. We have the chance to revolutionize energy generation as we know it." Commander Rigel's expression softens, the gears of consideration turning in his mind: "You make a compelling case, Doctor. I'll grant you one more test. But I want safety protocols at their highest. We cannot afford another loss."
The log ends with Dr. Marlow nodding, a mixture of gratitude and determination etched on her face.

The hologram springs to life, casting an eerie glow across the room. Dr. Marlow stands at the forefront, her expression grave.
"Log entry 64," she begins, her voice tinged with frustration. "Our pursuit of extracting zero-point energy from our spacetime has hit a critical snag. The appearance of exotic particles during the process has led to... unpredictable outcomes." A technician chimes in, his hands dancing over a holographic interface: "The particles are warping the containment field's integrity. It's like they're creating micro-ruptures in spacetime itself." Dr. Marlow nods, her gaze fixed on a floating display of swirling energy patterns: "Yes, and every attempt to stabilize the field has ended in failure. These particles don't adhere to known physical laws. Our equipment can't handle the strain." The room falls silent as the team contemplates their next move. Then, a seasoned engineer speaks up, her voice steady: "What if we stop trying to contain the uncontainable? We could engineer a sealed-off bubble of spacetime—a controlled environment where these particles can exist without affecting our universe." Dr. Marlow considers this, a spark of hope in her eyes: "A pocket universe... It's ambitious, but it might be our only chance. We'll need to design a spacetime fabricator from scratch. It's risky, but the potential..." For a moment she seems lost in thoughts. Then she turns to the Engineer that made the proposal: "I want you to focus on building a spacetime fabricator." The Woman nodds and turns back to her console. The intercom chimes and you hear the voice of Commander Rigel: "Dr. Marlow. Please find yourself in the main conference room." Dr. Marlow perks up. "Well, I shouldn't keep the council waiting"
With that she leaves the Lab and the log ends

The lab is dimly lit, the usual bustle replaced by a tense hush. Dr. Marlow stands before her small, resolute team, her eyes burning with a fierce determination.
The lab is dimly lit, the usual bustle replaced by a tense hush. Dr. Marlow stands before her small, resolute team, her eyes burning with a fierce determination. "Today, we stand at the precipice of the unknown," she begins, her voice resonant with passion. "The council has sealed the fate of the Project, but not the spirit of our pursuit. What we do now, we do for the future of all." She gestures to a console in from of her in the centre of the room: "The Zero Point Module—our legacy—is not lost. I've safeguarded our breakthroughs, encrypted our data and saved it in the Computer Section of the Laboratory. This knowledge, this power, is too vital to be buried. " A murmur of agreement ripples through the team. Dr. Marlow continues: "We embark on a path fraught with peril, yes. But it is also one paved with potential. To harness energy from the quantum level of spacetime could redefine existence itself. We could end any quarrel over resources and any wars fought to corner supplies." The team nods, their resolve hardening. Dr. Marlow's voice drops to a whisper, yet it carries the weight of her conviction: "This unauthorized test is our final stand. A stand for progress, for science, for the untold billions who could benefit from our success—or learn from our failure." With that Dr. Marlows Team returns their concentration to their consoles. With a soft voice Dr. Marlow says: "Julius my dear, please be so kind and seal down the Lab." He does as asked and you see all doors closing and hear the rattling as the locks fall into place, sealing the room completely. Around you hear reports from different people in the room "Containment field activated." "Higgs Spules are heated up" "Quantum Harmonizers modulated with the latest setting" Then a moment of tense Silence before Dr. Marlows voice cuts the ere atmosphere: "Start extraction sequence" You hear a humming of machines. The members of Dr. Marlows Team spring to live as they monitor graphs and adjust settings. Suddenly you hear a biping alarm. "There are again fluctuations in the containment field. It try to compensate" Another Researcher reports: "The Energy generation rate rises exponentially. We cannot contain it" "The containment field is strained to much. It will fail" Suddenly you see Dr. Marlow glow in a bluish light as she raises her hands. You see energy searing through her like glowing veins suddenly visible beneath her white skin. She claps her hands together and as she separates them, you see the transparent resemblance of a sphere between them. "I'm supporting the field. See if you can get a grip on the energy output." Energy is crackling between her Gills. You see her trembling beneath the strain of holding the energy contained. She cries out, her words a mixture of command and plea: "Hold the line... for the future!" Then the bubble between her Hands bursts.
The hologram blurs as an energy wave sweeps through the station. The recording ends in static.
